Soundmoji ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Soundmoji mobile application and website (soundmoji.nanocorp.app).

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate Soundmoji:

• Waitlist email addresses — when you sign up on our website, your email address is stored in our database so we can notify you at launch.
• Notification content (on-device only) — the Soundmoji Android app reads notification text from supported messaging apps in order to detect emoji. This processing happens entirely on your device. Notification content — including message text — is never transmitted to our servers and is never stored anywhere outside your device.

We do not collect:

• Message content or conversation history
• Contact lists or address books
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics beyond anonymous page-view counts on our website

The Soundmoji Android app uses the NotificationListenerService API, which requires you to grant notification access in Android system settings.

Why we need it: This permission lets Soundmoji read incoming notification text in real time so it can detect emoji characters and play the corresponding sound effects through your car speakers.

What we do NOT do: We do not upload, store, log, or transmit any notification content to external servers. All emoji detection and sound playback occurs entirely on your device. The notification listener is active only while the Soundmoji service is running in the foreground.

Soundmoji requests the following Android permissions and only for the stated purpose:

We use your email address solely to:

• Notify you when Soundmoji launches
• Send occasional product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)

We do not use your email for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or any commercial purpose. We do not share notification content — because we never have it in the first place.

We may use trusted infrastructure providers (such as our hosting and database provider) to store waitlist email addresses. These providers are contractually required to keep your data secure and confidential.

Waitlist email addresses are retained until you request deletion or until the product launches and the waitlist is no longer needed. You can request removal at any time by emailing us (see contact section below).

Soundmoji is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Soundmoji after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
